The Big Red Bus is a Louisville community project raising awareness for suicide prevention — showing people they belong here and their story matters.
The Big Red Bus started as a simple idea: use a bright, impossible-to-ignore vehicle to open conversations about something our community too often keeps quiet — mental health and suicide prevention.
We show up at tailgates, festivals, and neighborhood events not just to be seen, but to remind people that they are seen. That their story matters. That there are people in this community who want them to stay.
Rooted in Louisville, connected to neighbors and volunteers, and partnering with organizations like FEAT Louisville — the bus is a gathering point for compassion.
Every person who sees this bus, who stops and talks, who shares a story — that's the whole point. We want people to know someone's driving alongside them.
Show up, help out, and be part of the crew. We need passionate people at events, for community outreach, and for repairs. No experience required — just heart.
Get in touch →Right now we’re raising funds for the head gasket repair. Once the bus is back on the road, donations go directly to community events and suicide prevention outreach.
Support the cause →Follow us on Instagram, share our posts, and bring a friend. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is make sure someone else knows they’re not alone.
@brbbigredbus →You don’t have to ride alone. There are people ready to listen, right now, at any hour. The Big Red Bus exists because every life is worth fighting for.
